CAN MAN CREATE HIS OWN DESTINY? (Part 2)Can Man create his own destiny? The answer is emphatically “YES”. Matthew 4:4, Jesus said, “Man shall not live, be upheld, sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. Luke 4:4b, Jesus said, “but by every word and expression of God.” Man has two destinies to chose from, but he can only pick one that will give him success and Eternal satisfaction, or he will never be satisfied with the success he has.
Bread here is the physical bread God provided for the Israelites when they were forty years in the wilderness. (Deuteronomy 8:3). God is our provider in the physical realm, BUT it is not physical bread that will sustain us, it is the bread that we receive from the Bread of Life, Jesus, the spiritual realm that eventually manifests in the physical realm. Once we receive Jesus as our Savior, our benefactor, our lives should have put on a character change that the world we live in would notice and ask questions as to what is different with us. It is then we can give them the answer that Peter gave, that he had received power (ability, efficiency and might) after the Holy Spirit has come upon him and he became a witness for Jesus. We can also testify and exhort with our testimony what God through Jesus has done for us. Peter through his testimony and relation with Jesus, added 3,000 souls to the Kingdom of God. “The word that comes forth from the mouth of God and the expression of God is what sustains us.” It is the meditating on the Everlasting Word of God and being consumed with the very presence of God, that will manifest the very image of God in and through the knowledge of Him, of His relation to us, of our authority through Him, as ambassadors for Him, and ALL that Jesus did on the cross that is our inheritance as well as our Covenant Rights. Jesus said not by bread (physical things), but by knowing God and having a personal relationship with Him (spiritual – God kind of life style) that will cause us a happy, successful and peaceful life. Our destiny is based on knowing God’s Purpose, Plan and Fulfillment to His plan that would create a man’s Destiny. Yes, this world is made up of choices and man has a choice to make, to chose God or serve the world. Man can live a satisfied life with God or an unsatisfied life without God. Man can live hot on fire for God, or be as cold as ice, living in this world without God. Man was created to do good and be like Jesus. We need to know what good we are talking about. In fact, in Acts 10:38, it reads that Jesus went around doing good because God was with Him. My question to you is, “Is your life filled with God and if so, does it line up with the destiny God has planned for you to live long and prosperous?” REMEMBER – your answer could have Eternal effect. If you are one that does not know what part you play as a child in the Family of God, repeat after me: “Father, I asked Jesus to forgive me of all my sins, and He did. Father, I asked Jesus to come into my heart, and He did. Father, I ask you to fill me with your presence and let me know how I can best serve you and how, I too, can fulfill my part as Your child and fellow member of the Household of God. Thank You in Jesus Name.” If you mean what you said, God promises to do His part. By Rev. LaVern Burdick Comments are closed.
